Nickle Alloy Gasket Rings, a gasket is a type of sealing component used to create a barrier between one mating surface and another to prevent the escape or ingress of fluids or gases. To accommodate these flat surfaces, the gasket can be flat or slightly curved. They can also be cut into different shapes to fit precisely between the surfaces they’re meant to seal. Gasket seals are sometimes made of flexible materials, such as nitrile rubber and silicone rubber, but can also be made of metal and composite materials, such as rigid polymers. They can even be made to fit complex mating surfaces. When compressed, gaskets fill in any irregularities or imperfections on the mating surfaces to create a seal. Gaskets must be able to withstand the pressure differentials that occur across the sealing interface. They should maintain their ability to provide an effective seal even under high-pressure conditions to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity.

Inconel 718(UNS NO7718) is a GammaPrime strengthened aloy with excelent mechanicalproperties at elevated temperatures, as wel as cryogenidtemperatures. This is a nickel-chromium-based high-strength super alloy. it is resistant to corrosion, extremepressure, and elevated temperatures of up to 700'c. it has a tensile strength of 1375 MPa. However, itis brittle and difficult to weld but has good machinability with a hard cutting tool. it is widely applied inmanufacturing, military equipment, and the aerospace industry.

Alloy 718 is a high strength, nickel base, superalloy usedfor cryogenic temperatures up to long term service at1200 °F. This alloy is readily fabricated and may be weldedin either the annealed or precipitation hardened(aged)condition.718 is annealed at 1700-1850 'F and air cooledor faster. lt is aged at 1325 °F for 8 hours, furnace cooledto hold at 1150 'F, for a total aging time of 18 hours, thenair cooled.Alloy 718 wil show a contraction of 0.0008inch/inch after precipitation hardening. Excelent welding characteristics and resistant to postweld age cracking. Oxidation resistant throughout its useful temperature range.
